I only bought these as a travel pair to take daily in the car ---- When I compared them to my Zeiss Victory compact 8x20 I was shocked. These little bins are right up there with the big boys in optical sharpness, color, weight, balance, and quality of construction. These were so close to the Zeiss it was hard to tell them apart --- These are not ugly step-cousins to the better know brands --- If you're not an Alpha snob, you will be impressed with these --- They are also a match or better than my older Swarvoski 8x20 that I have loved for years --- I highly recommend these !!!! Not just as back-ups, but as a first choice at a great price---
