Most Helpful Positive Review Great durabikity
These shoes have a very comfortable sole. I use these for daily normal wear, and even for hiking on easy trails. These sturdy shoes feel like sneaker-boots. Only downside is that they do not repel water so if it rains they will get wet if you step in a little puddle. But at least the ventilation holes near the front allow for water to drain back out.

Tap Dance Shoes

by Mike Grey, Verified Owner from NC, United States Written on January 16, 2025
I like everything about the shoe except the sole. The rubber is hard and you sound like you’re wearing hard soled dress shoes on hard surfaces such as concrete, tile, stairs. I wore the mids thru a shoot house here at Bragg and ended up changing into a pair of clunky Danner Mtn boots so I could walk quietly. OPFOR could here me coming before we even breached. On top of that I had to put some insoles in them because the sole is such hard rubber they offer no cushioning and the included insole barely qualifies as padding. My ASU dress shoes would have functioned better.
Pros:
  • Style
Cons:
  • minimal cushion
  • Loud AF!
  • Slick on hard wet surfaces
Best Used for:
  • Tap Dancing

Very Rugged

by Thirtytwoacres, from MA, United States Written on June 21, 2023
Bought these to replace cheap water shoes. I’m going to wear them kayaking, white water rafting and to the beach. Have already worn them on long walks to get them broken in. They are very comfortable and fit great. The construction seams top notch. I’m pretty sure they will last a long time.
Pros:
  • rugged construction
Cons:
  • Laces are too stretchy
Best Used for:
  • Water Sports

Overall great

by ReconRoninGJR, from NY, United States Written on August 13, 2022
Well constructed shoe and materials, and sole has great traction. The look is excellent and discreet. Given the shoe’s purpose, it’s better for warm/hot climates. Not ultra comfortable but it’s not supposed to be a Croc.

1 Year Follow Up Review

by Chase, Verified Owner from UT, United States Written on August 24, 2019
I normally don't care about products enough to leave a review let alone two, but these shoes are incredible. These shoes have been in and out of the water on in lakes, rivers, and the ocean dozens of times. I have worn them daily for the last year and they still look great. This is the first pair of shoes that I have owned where the sole is going to wear out before the top looks thrashed. These still look good enough to wear to my desk job without getting complaints from HR. Every time I walk out of some nasty swampy water on a hike I just toss these right in the wash. The only change to make to these is to immediately throw out the ten foot long stretchy laces they come with and pick up a pair of kevlar ones. I will probably wear these for the rest of my life.
Pros:
  • Last Forever
Cons:
  • Laces suck
Best Used for:
  • Literally Everything

Comfortable and functional

by Paul, from MI, United States Written on July 5, 2018
These shoes are comfortable and look great. I haven't had any issues with them, they fit and look great! I haven't used them in the water yet so I can't speak to their ability to drain, but I'm sure they will work perfectly.

Great Pair of Shoes!

by Chase, Verified Owner from UT, United States Written on June 10, 2018
Just got these the other day. Fit is perfect, and very comfortable. I love wearing Reefs, but I destroy a pair every three months or so. My hope for these would that the fit and function would be similar with a longer product life. These shoes have a sole stiffness that is more pronounced and supportive than a pair of Reefs, but they are definitly less stiff than a fresh pair of classic Vans. Sole rubber has s good balance of hard and tacky. So far these look like they are going to completely fit the bill for me. I will revise my review if I see any issues, but from the way these are built I don't think I am going to have any problems. Looking at ordering a pair of the high tops already because of how comfortable these are.
