Tom C's Review of American Defense Manufacturing Mini Aimpoint Mount
After going through multiple configurations to find a way to utilize a Vortex Crossfire II red-dot on my Ruger PC Carbine with a magnifier, nothing aligned like the internet suggested. Literally nothing worked as written or even recommended. I was told my idea would not work and would be a waste of money. Well, after already wasting money listening to others, I did it anyway.
This mount, with the Vortex Crossfire II red dot, with a VMX3T magnifier on a AMD quick release mount (flip mount is meant for an AR rail, i.e. a flat top rifle) and the magic happened. I can now see out to 100 yards (because I'm old and have old person eyesight) with the magnifier. I can take it off for anything closer and still keep it on target. And I don't care that this is only for plinking. Hitting your target is the fun part of plinking. Seeing your target is kind of important to achieve that!
Other than that, you get what you pay for. I found some monstrum mounts that got close for a fraction of the price. I just had to deal with stripped out screws and loose fitting. I figured it was worth the difference.
