This is a really good sight set in terms of function. The front sight is really easy to pick up during any lighting conditions I've tried these in. Some people prefer three dot sights, but I find this style to be better. Rear sight is also designed to allow for one handed slide manipulation, which is a nice thing to have even though it normally doesn't come into play.
The sights fit the dovetails in the slide pretty well, though the front was a bit on the tight side (not an uncommon thing due to tolerances). Installed using MGW tool specific to M&P handguns.
This sight set includes a front sight with a Tritium insert for low light visibility. These are marked with the year of production and the one I received is from 2015. Without knowing the month of production, the sight could have been a year and a couple months old, or it could be over two years old. Two years is a lot of the usable life of Tritium sights for my use. So in the end, I don't exactly get full value for the money. Ameriglo says it's not their problem, so I don't know if I'll buy this brand again simply because I prefer more recently manufactured Tritium sights when buying them new.
Pros:
- Much better than 3 dot sights

I bought this as well as the yellow trijicon hd thinking they would be the same. The ameriglo say the front sight is yellow but really it is off white. Like glow in the dark stars for a kids room. The trijicon hd is def neon yellow and very bright in all lighting. The ameriglo is not that good in daylight. However when you charge both with a flashlight there is a drastic difference. The ameriglo glows in the dark so much brighter. The trijicon hd are okay and what you would expect. If you could combine the ameriglo glow in the dark with trijicon hd neon yellow you would have the perfect sight.

Good quality sight. I like the yellow color up front, it really draws the eye to it. I was also pleasantly surprised to find the yellow ring also glows if you charge it with a light or with sunshine. Way better sight picture than white dots. Just get 'em.

I have a set of these Hacathorn Sights on 5 of my guns now. They stand out out better then the fiber optic ones. They are best on smaller guns like G23,G19,G26,9C, and I did install a set on my G35 but only shot it once and not in IDPA. I think the front sight is a hair big for shots out to 25 yards but it can be done. The rear plain serrated sight is what sold me the most as nothing to distract you from finding the front sight. For the value these are hands down the best value for the money.

So far so good! installed on my full size M&P 9. Some minor filing required to the base of both front and rear sights to get them to fit in the dovetail. Go slow take your time and fit them. Do not go crazy with the file and take off to much metal. You want them to be tight. Do not lock tight the rear sight set screw until you get to the range and sight in your pistol. Just in case adjustments are need front or rear.
Yellow front sight is very bright with Trijicon vile centered in the middle. Serrated all black rear sight gives a crisp sight picture and will see how it holds up with some IDPA and steel plate matches.
