Worked fine!

Made for a different model of smith than I installed it on, but close enough! I know how to fit things. The height was right and that worked out great. I put them on a much earlier model of smith with much smaller dovetails but it saved the day.

Nice sights

The install wasn't too bad.....a good vise and a brass punch worked. The front sight took a little extra work (bigger hammer). The sight picture is awesome and very easy to pick up the front sight. I'd consider using this same set up on other hand guns.

Hackathorn AmeriGlo Tritium Night Sight Set, S&W Shield

These offer a much improved low-level sight picture over the factory sights. You pick-up the front sight and pull the trigger. Much faster than lining up dots or bars. Very easy to install after you beat out the OEM rear sight. I had to use a brass punch and 48 ounce ball-peen hammer!:-)

Good sight picture

This sight definitely helps your eyes to focus on the target very quickly & easily. The offset colors really pop once sight is charged. I let my sights sit in the sun for like a week prior to installing them to break them in. Not required, just wanted to see natural light charge versus artificial light source.
