I ordered these night sights before the shield even arrived and was worried about the install due to the trouble everyone had with the welded on shield sights. Brass punch and a 4 lb. sledge with the slide in a vise cushioned by hard rubber protectors tapped them out and in easily. Out from the left and in fron the right with 4 folds of electrical tape as protection from the punch got'er done. The tape served as a keeper for the spring on the right side of the rear sight. Great Upgrade

Was looking for a good set of night sets for my Shield. My only advice is to pay attention to what you are doing because shield sights are really a pain to get off and install. If you plan to do it by yourself definitely get yourself a quality sight pusher or brass punch that won’t scratch your slide and a good YouTube video.

Excellent upgrade to my Shield Plus

With the state of gun sales and availability of different models, when you see something close to what you want, you need to get it while you can, and make modifications as necessary. These sights are way better than the standard 3 white dot standard from S&W. I have been using this front Orange on several of my firearms, and am quite happy with them. Props to Optics Planet for quick shipping (and having them in stock in the first place).

Awesome sights

I have these on all my pistols. Their ability to glow at night isa must on my CCW pistol. The orange ring on the front sight makes target acquisition excellent. Optics planet has the best price I could find in the net. Awesome sights.

excellent product and price thus far

I got these for about $88 with free shipping. This was the least expensive of my entire search of same/similiar product. Because my eyesight is diminishing with age I wanted to have the orange ring front sight and the white outline for the rears to compensate.
The front sight is easier to acquire and in darkness the tritium glows bright. So far I am pleased but I will have to see over time how it stands up to more range time and usage.

Ameriglo night sights

Really enjoying the ameriglo tritium night sights. They are very bright at night and the white rings on the rear and differing orange ring on the front make it much easier and faster to get on target during the day.
