Classic USAF Sunglasses
These are the real deal-- not the fragile frame, cheap imitations. I think it's worth the extra $20 to get the polarized lenses. A tip: easily and quickly remove the annoying AO white mini-logo on the left lens by rubbing gently with a tissue wet with "Goof Off" or other adhesives/paint/marker remo...

Black AO Pilot Glass Frame Color Not Quite Right
I have been using AO Pilot Sunglasses for years in the military and know the high quality of these glasses and this company. I ordered two sets of Black Framed Pilot Sunglasses with the comfort cable temples. For some reason both frames appeared to be a brownish "gun metal" color rather than blac...

Good quality for the price.
The glass lens and metal frame is of good quality when compared to other expensive brands.
The shape and style of these Original Pilot sunglasses are modified slightly than previous models.
One con is that the distance between the two nose pads is large and makes an uncomfortable fit for my face.

Just like 1967 all over again
I used to buy these in the BX for what would be the price of a Happy Meal today! I can't see any difference from those I bought years ago.I had several pairs over the years and I wish I would have bought a crate of them when I was discharged from the AF. They are solid, fit perfectly (on my face at least)don't slide off my nose and the neutral grey glass lenses are comfortably light and don't wipe out digital displays so you don't have to take them off to see your phone, pump gas etc. I picked the 55mm lenses since I couldn't remember what size I used to buy - turns out that was the right size. I would consider my face average size for a man.I wish I had a few more pairs to last the next decade.

Best Sunglasses for helmets
This is my second pair of AO sunglasses. It's the frames I like and can't find elsewhere. I put my prescription lenses in them which are bifocal polarized and non-reflective. The bayonet temples make them perfect on/off with helmets. Thanks AO. If these fall in the lake too, I'll have to get a third pair.

AO 55mm Gold / Cosmetan Brown lens
The quality is excellent. Wear the lens size you prefer, but for a proper fit, follow the sizing guide for temple width on the AO website. Optics Planet provides competitive pricing with quick shipping.

Classically Cool
Awesome set of classic aviators that truly fit the bill construction is amazing and the look and feel are top notch. I would highly, highly recommend. Especially, when compared to the much more expensive Randolph eyewear set there, is not enough of a noticeable difference for the $100 premium Randolph asks.
Pros:
- solid construction
- 3 frame sizes
- Polarized and Non-polarized lens options
- Glass and acrylic lens options
- Different shaped arms
Cons:
- Storage case is cheap
- No cleaning cloth
Best Used for:
- Blocking sun outdoors
- Looking fly AF

AO pilot sun glasses
Have been using AO since 1973 both flying & boating with great looks & results... Ordered a pair several mths ago which arrived in good time but they had the look of cheap Chinese rejects... fit & finish very rough... So I went with the flow and gave them a try!!! Several weeks into it the nose bridge decided to leave its place... No, i did not abuse them any more than the previous units that held up fine! (Replacements have always been from lost or mis placed units over the years) Either PO is selling knock offs or AO is down the tubes on quality equipment!!??
Pros:
- Generally poor quality
Cons:
- Cheap price for AO
Best Used for:
- Unknown

Cool Pilot Sunglasses
These glasses are so cool. I love the retro look, and the fact that the lenses are glass, not plastic or polycarbonate. My brother-in-law is a retired Navy pilot, and he loved the glasses too. I ordered the non-polarized lenses. It makes it so much easier to read electronic screens. The lenses are dark enough for the Florida summer sun and the optical quality is excellent. I would have given them 5 stars, but they have a tendency to slip down my nose and I'm regularly pushing them up. Maybe it's my anatomy. I had the fit adjusted by my optician but it did no good. I dropped the glasses the second day I wore them and scratched the right lens pretty badly. I had to order replacement lenses from American Optical (scratches are not covered by the warranty)but they were a reasonable $22.00 plus shipping.
Pros:
- great optical quality
- retro look
- non polarized
Cons:
- poor fit

AO sunglasses
This is my second pair of AO sunglasses. After loosing my first pair while on vacation in Idaho last year I could have bought just any other glasses. I went with AO again because they are made in America and built to last.

Premium Sunglasses
It has a very sturdy frame, good quality and perfectly polarized glass lens. The bayonets are very stylish and comfortable to wear. These are the original Aviator/pilot sunglasses from where it all began.
