If your M&P Pistol was made before June of 2011, you will need to purchase a a sear housing block assembly, as S&W changed size of sear plunger and spring after June 2011, from 1/16", to: 1/8". Amazing Trigger

It removes so much of the pretravel that it's crazy. I was hoping it would bring the trigger pull to the 3lb, but it's at a consistent 4lb pull. I love the flat face trigger shoe. Finding a good video of the breakdown was a little difficult.

What a difference

Bought a M&P 9c about 5 years ago for use when RVing because of its versatility as a 10 round concealable weapon or a high capacity home defense weapon. The gun has always functioned well but the crunchy weird trigger has always made me sorry I bought it. This kit has elevated this gun to another level. Changing the firing pin block and spring is enough to really improve the gun but installing the whole kit made the gun amazing.I used the 4lb spring and the trigger pull feels similar to a 1911 which in my opinion is the perfect single action trigger

No Brainer

Apex trigger install is super easy - and the results are exactly as promised. I can say they are easy because the online video quality is so poor that the process has to be intuitive. This is 100% a DIY job and you’ll be happy for the upgrade.

This trigger is not compatible with M&P Shield

I only looked at the product page when I purchased this originally and not the q and a section. unfortunately I didn't realize that it was incompatible until I had already put the trigger on to the trigger bar. At this point I cannot return it due to the fact but it seems to be irreversible and the trigger has scuffs on it so would not be considered new. (It is also still connected to the trigger bar at the moment) I wouldn't have a problem with this if the incompatibility was listed on the actual product page. On the actual product page it only says it's not compatible with 2.0 and has no reference to the shield. Unfortunately it doesn't seem I have any recourse at this point and I do hope that this helped somebody from making the same mistake I did

A must have on the M&P pistols

Everyone already knows the quality of these triggers and the crappiness of the factory trigger, so I won’t beat a dead horse. I would recommend, w/o a doubt. I recommend waiting till there’s a promo available to you before purchasing, and if you’re military/first responders you can call in and get a discount too!

nice 'n easy

I installed the trigger myself and it was easy using the available U-Tube videos. Took my S&W 9mm to the range and scored 8 bullseyes with my first mag at 8 yards. I was tickled pink. I don't know what the trigger pull is now, but it was Ma compliant with a 10.5 pull. Trigger is smooth and easy to hold on target without movement.

  • Not cheap but worth every penny.
Best Used for:
  • anytime you want to make a shot count

Trigger upgrade

Nice upgrade! Trigger is smooth. Less pretravel. Improved my accuracy. Add this trigger to my daily carry a smith and wesson m&p 40 compact. Only modification needed was adjustment to the trimming. Looking to upgrade my 2 other m&p pistols.

Great trigger, much better than the stock trigger on my M&P. Smooth break and reset. The installation was very easy and instructions was very well written. Fast shipping from opticsplanet, received sooner than estimated.
