Bought this trigger based on reviews ,installed on a used M&P 2.0 compact . Would not work ! Called Apex and they were closed left no message. Was desperately searching the internet for a fix . The phone rand and it was Doug from Apex stating he was calling back a number that from a missed call. Told him my problem , he ask a couple of basic questions then had me carefully look at the trigger bar . There was the problem the end of my trigger bar was bent downwards. Good trigger
I’ve been searching the internet for this trigger and because of our great Governor here in California it’s almost impossible to get parts shipped here any more. Optic Planet and was very fair with the shipping and I appreciate them for helping us out here to ensure we can still practice our gun rights.. The trigger is great and exactly what I’ve been wanting.

A few years back saw a deal on a 5" FDE finished S&W M&P 2.0 I couldn't pass up. I liked the pistol, but was never excited about it.
A few months ago I decided to take it to the next level.
The Apex trigger kit, a Fision tritium front sight, and addition of ambidextrous manual safety transformed the pistol.
The orange tritium is faster to pick up in light or dark, the trigger outstanding. Flat face trigger gives good feel and doesn't pinch. Short stroke, short, audible, and tactile reset.
Pull weight just under 4 lbs. Manual safety because trigger is so good now, almost like a single action trigger.
These simple mods transformed a good gun into a great one I really enjoy shooting.
It continues to run flawlessly. 1500 rds. since mods without a malfunction so far.

Excellent trigger!!
I am really impressed with this trigger. I was a little on the fence after watching some YouTube video reviews, but this trigger is more than I expected. It was a little difficult to install, but it just took a little time. It has a 4lb trigger pull & a crisp, clean reset that is both audible and tactile. That was WAY better than I had expected. This is hands down a major improvement over the stock trigger. I would install this on any S&W with the 2.0 trigger or a gen 1 trigger. Give it a try - you won't regret it.

Leveling Up
Do yourself a favor and add the Apex trigger to your M&P. You'll thank me later. Installation was a little tricky, but with patience, a clean workspace, and the necessary YouTube videos that walk you through the installation process, you'll complete the task in about 30 min - 2 hrs (depending on your skills/knowledge).

Careful with your model fit
Matching the model was tricky based on the title. I think I still got the correct one as I have the M&P 2.0 Metal in FDE. And the trigger works, but you have to remove the polymer buffer inside the trigger guard which acts as an over travel stop for the stock trigger. ALSO, the safety blade does not interface with the metal frame nullifying the trigger safety feature.
Would recommend: No
Just do it and dont ever look back.
Even with the new M&P trigger the Apex is still a must. Supper clean break and fast reset make it the #1 M&P upgrade in my opinion.

Not for metal frames
Heads up, it currently does not specify in the listing that this item does NOT work for the Metal frame M2.0s, including the Competitor. The packaging of the item specifies that it is for the polymer frames only.

AMAZING Upgrade
Absolutely amazing. I have a S&W M&P core that had a good trigger already. Also was accurate with it.
WOW, im soooo happy I upgraded to this Apex trigger. Dropped my trigger pull from 6.8lbs down to 3.2lbs. Eleminated almost all dead pull, except trigger "guard" and resets immediately! Also so smooth to break the wall, no more jerking ever again.
BEST UPGRADE POSSIBLE!!!
