Apogee Right-Angle20-32x88mm Binoculars

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from CT, United States Written on February 27, 2008
This is the second pair I've owned. After I realized Apogee was not marketing them anymore I knew I wanted a pair to keep. I haven't put them up against the Miyauchi Right angle for comparison, but so few of those show up in the American market that may never happen. The supplied white gloves might seem a bitmuch however the finish is very glossy and fingerprints show up. I leave mine set up and ready to go.
Pros: Great for the neck when favorite objects (Double Cluster) are at the Zenith
Cons: None really-they do the job
Would recommend: Yes

Great Right Angle Astro Binos for the Money

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from NY, United States Written on July 21, 2007
I've had these well made binos for over 2 months now and am enjoying them whenever the clouds clear over Long Island. Well collimated. The eyepieces are well made/coated. Objectives' coatings are very good and no white reflections noticed. Focusing is unique and easy. Noticed the exit pupils were not completly round, as they should be. Looks like the prism was masked at the factory for some reason? Nobody seems to know why. Even with this issue, Views are still bright and sharp - almost to the edge with high power ep's. For the money, these are excellent binos and well worth the investment. I'm adding a finder to it in the near future. (Right angle bino scanning of dark skies is easy on the neck also). Get one while they're still available. Clear skies.
Pros: Great binos for a little money.
Cons: Slight masking noticed at exit pupil
