My favorite bolt knob design
Originally picked this up as a recommendation on the forums for a CZ 457 bolt knob upgrade. The original ball knob was fine, but this is a massive improvement. The position of the finger grove makes lifting the bolt much easier and more natural. Your index finger just lifts up off the trigger and lands right in the grove. Closing the bolt also feels very natural as your thumb catches in the grove nicely. I like it enough that I ordered the same knob for my Vudoo 360 (Area 419 Defiance Finger Grove Bolt Knob 419-KNOB-DEF)

great design. Makes it easy to cycle the CZ457. the angle and shape lens its self to the intended purpose.

Good quality but not what I wanted
Bought the knob on a whim. It's good quality, great company and to me looks nice installed. Just realized I really don't need the knurling on it. Don't like the feel as your running the bolt. Doesn't benefit me at all shooting from a bench, might benefit someone out in the weather.

Worthwhile Upgrade
This is a well-machined knob that is a worthwhile upgrade for quick bolt actuation. It has the bonus of looking good as part of a precision rifle build. In general, Area 419 products are high quality and well thought out.
Be prepared for a struggle to remove the factory bolt knob which is secured by Loctite. It requires a removal tool or pliers, a piece of rubber, and some elbow grease.

Good feeling bolt knob
I like it! I tried a few other, cheaper options, but I haven't liked them. This is well-constructed, easy to feel where you are on the bolt handle. I like the weight, too. You can kind of "fling" it around, which adds to its good feel. It's perfect for my CZ457.

419 bolt knob
This one from area 419 makes cycling the 457 bolt much easier and crisper. Works great.

It’s made by Area 419.. i think that says enough.. Fit, finish, and weight is excellent and it feels really good.

Smooth Sailing
I recently purchased this product ie April 2025K & in my opinion this is such a great addition & upgrade to my CZ 457 Varment 22 WMR. This bolt knob is much better than the factory one that CZ puts on their Varment rifle. The build quality is unique & different from the most i have seen used. The price was just right & to be honest i would've paid more if i had to, that's how great this product is. It feels great in my medium size hands & actually helps to run the bolt nice & smooth. I totally recommend it & if you're in the market for one of these you can not go wrong.
