Great Way to Upgrade Your Rifle Handguard to ARCA
I was looking to upgrade my MDT ESS chassis to ARCA. I have other Area 419 rails and accessories on other rifles and wanted to go with the ARCA Lock system that 419 offers. I have the 15” handguard with the NV hood. This rail attaches by M-lock, screw not included so make sure you have or remember to order. The rail fits almost perfectly with the available space. I have the rail lined up perfectly with the front end of the handguard and there was about an inch of space towards the back end of the handguard. I could have gone with a longer rail piece, but did not want the rail to protrude past the front of the handguard. When I bought this ARCA Lock rail it was cheaper at OpticsPlanet than on the Area 419 site directly!

Hit or Miss on Hardware
I love this rail thus far. The first and finish are fantastic. No issues there. My only issue is with the hardware. There is an assortment of hardware that it comes with, but no M-Lok screws and bolts. I get it. There are so many possible setups. Given the variety of setups, just don't include hardware if it can make the price lower. Even if only by a couple of bucks. I'm sure for those that use the hardware they are happy to have it, but everyone is basically paying for the hardware whether they can use it or not.
Again, as far as the rail goes it's quality and works well with the Area 419 clamp to which I attached a Magpul bipod.
