I had the regular arcalock clamp on my bipod for my 308 gas gun, and no matter how tight I torqued it, it would still come loose after a few shots. I should've spent the extra bucks to get this one. I'm thinking that if you're going for arcalock, it's cause you're shooting, and if you're shooting, then you need the qd clamp. Don't go cheap, it'll just cost you more in the long run
