Best measurement system i have used - Area 419 Zero Headspace and Ogive Measurement Gauge Kit

Best headspace and CBTO measurement system I’ve used. The individual collars can get a little “stiff” to remove but the “lock up” (shoulder to body fit) is repeatable and reliable. There’s no having a soft metal collar slightly wonky or wondering if the set screw really has it in the same position as last time. The markings on the collar seem to stop at the exact same spot, every time they’re changed. Oh, and if you don’t decap first (really, you should, IMO), there is a hole where you place the cartridge base to accommodate a primer that may be sitting a hair proud.

A couple of notes: I color-coded by caliber the ones I use the most so that I don’t need to do mental math or look at charts when changing calibers. Also, I assembled mine so it sits in the stand backwards from how Area 419 shows (at time of release) on their website. I have the cartridge base down by the stand base with the heavier portion holding the collet coming down onto the case neck. Lastly, I did buy with the Mitutoyo calipers Area 419 sells. Quite expensive, but impressive quality. I think my ones from the big Iowa retailer would also work, likely many more, but I am using the ones Area 419 recommends.
