Most Helpful Positive Review Great Laser sight
This is the smallest and lightest laser sight that I could find. It is super bright and I love it. It is so small, that I can still put my gun in the holster. Pros: small, light, and bright Cons: Pricey
Most Helpful Negative Review Money Not Well Spent..
I had the Laser Sight maybe a week. I have turned it on maybe 3 times and the button on the side will not turn it on. I have replaced batteries and all. It's not a very good product for the price. I am looking for a new product and trying to figure out how to return this one.

Perfect size, easy activation.

by Steve, from IL, United States Written on January 3, 2019
I have had this on my Ruger SR40 for awhile and it hardly adds anything to the weight or bulk. It even fits in the same soft holster without any accidental activation. The dual slide switch can be pushed from either side, using support hand thumb or extended trigger finger. I began experiencing intermittent problems with the switch then recently it stopped working altogether. I emailed ArmaLaser and they immediately sent me a repair order number for warranty repair. I sent the laser in for repair and am waiting for the results. So far they have been very responsive and cooperative. I will report back on the process. I am very happy with this product so far and hope to continue to be.
Pros:
  • size,adjustment hold, brightness
Cons:
  • switch problems
Best Used for:
  • intermediate sized pistols

Great Design, Poorly Executed

Switch Failed first time out at firing range. I Really was excited for this laser and worked Great up until I actually used it. OpticsPlanet shouldn’t sell garbage like this especially for over 100$.

Great Service from Manufacturer

by Daniel OHagan, from CO, United States Written on February 4, 2018
Bought an SR1 for my Dad's SD40VE in May 2017, not sure if he buggered up the small Allen screws for sighting it in or not, but after her went at it, I could not for the life of me get it sighted even using a bore sight in laser cartridge. I put in a service request with ArmaLas r just prior to Xmas not really having much faith in them covering the problem under warranty as it may have been installed incorrectly, yet when I spoke with them in January, they had me send it back for service or replacement based on whatever they found. 1 week later, I got an email stating they were s Ning a new SR1 out to me. GREAT SERVICE as far as I am concerned. All emails were quick and the new product came within 10 days of them receiving my buggered up unit. I don't normally write reviews, just lurk through the ones I find, but between Optic Planet's great pricing and the Manufacturer great service, it's worth the extra little pricing of $120 or so for this laser.
The second unit sighted perfectly, and held its grouping quite nicely through a box of 50 rounds. No additional adjustments were needed.
Pros:
  • small and compact
Cons:
  • Adjustment wrenches are VERY SMALL
Best Used for:
  • Range and carry

Retired Industrial Rescue Medic

Haven't purchased the item yet because of concern that the switches(s) might be activated when holstering the pistol. Can you address this issue? Other than that the product "fits like a glove".
I can't tell if the switches are below the plane of the housing from the pictures that I've seen of the product.
Thanks for your time to address this concern.

Pros:
  • Looks and small size
Cons:
  • concern over possible switch activation when holstering the weapon,
Best Used for:
  • Instalation on a Bersa T9Dtphc

On my Glock 21

by Chevelles, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on April 9, 2015
Easy install with a nice bright red laser. Vertical adjustment just about maxed out to co-locate with truglo sights I have mounted on my Glock 21. Easy on/off switch from both sides of sight. It might be useful to have momentary contact switch but not with this sight.

Pros: Easy to install, good directions for installations, fits S&W SD9VE like a glove, very thin and compct and looks like part of the handgun.

peice of junk!!!!

by Legacy Reviewer, from OH, United States Written on February 10, 2014
What good is a 5 year warranty when the company won't call you back. Mine worked for about 6 mos. Changed batteries it worked for about 2 minutes.
Switch malfunctioned. tried to get company to return my calls for service
they never did. What good is a 5 yr warranty if the company WON"T back up their product.
Pros: easy to calibrate, windage & elevation
Cons: very dificult to change batteries
