Solid build quality, solid value.
I bought the Armasight N-14 with the HD gen2 tube, and it seems well built, solid, and has worked very well so far. I have only used one other NV device to compare it to, and that was a military gen3 monocular, so I guess this Armasight N14 is being compared to top notch gen3, so its not true apples-apples, but I can say this mono performs at 70-80 percent of that military gen3. The picture quality is what I best describe as like a 480p video format on a crt tv, just to give you an idea. Very good for such a small device. Good bang for the buck NV
The unit is compact and light. The ability to use either a 123 or AA battery is a nice feature. Low light optics are better than I expected but the IR flood and focal is pretty weak. I have not mounted to a weapon but works well with my helmet mount.

General purpose use for me.
I use the product for general use and fun. I like mostly to be able to use it for long distance vision usage though it was far better than my first gen 1+ mono even with lots of add ons. I have not even put a add yet on to it so I can wait to see what buying a mag 8 will do for clarity of the picture and distance. It appears to have great vision even without anything else but like all monos does have some pixels in the scope which cannot be avoided. I won't tell you it's perfect but for the money is much better than any gen 1 or gen 2 for the price I've seen. I will also tell any one this buying anything whatever they choose don't trust pics or demos they show you about products cause they just aren't true.
