I am happy with these goggles. You get what you pay for. I was surprised at how light weight they are and they do a pretty good job of not letting light pollution bother your vision. These are the first really good night vision goggles I have ever had. They also are the first ones I have spent that much money on. I can only imagine how good the Gen. 5 goggles are. If you have money can't go wrong with these. I am happy with them so far and they come with head strap which is nice.

I just received these yesterday and I am blown away. Even in the woods on a moonless night the ambient city lights are too much for gen3. When I first tried these I was in my neighborhood and the image was dim. Once I walked into the woods something amazing happened....the image got brighter. The auto-gating was lowering the power in the city to avoid blooming. Once I was in a truly dark environment they worked much better. I was in the middle of the city (San Antonio), on a hot humid night, to the naked eye there was only about a dozen visible stars but through the PVS7-3P I immediately saw a satellite, multiple meteors and thousands of stars. To give you an idea of the power of these, while in the woods lightning bugs would light up the trees when they flashed! Lightning bugs where like camera flashes! Since there is only one objective lens you lose depth perception but only for things really close (grabbing a doorknob takes some getting used to) but after a few minutes your brain figures it out and then you are fine. No trouble walking on trails in pitch black. They are light (no pun intended), small and if you can afford them I highly suggest you purchase, you will not be disappointed.
