Clip-on adapter that states it fits 38-42mm objective bell does not fit 40 to 42 mm bells! - Armasight Scope Mounting System for Clip-On Day/Night System

Despite reading the description thoroughly, and double checking that my objective bell size; the adaptor received does not fit as advertised. there are shims to adapt to bells supposedly from 38 to 42 mm. Even without the shims, it clearly will not fit over a 42 mm bell. I tried it without the shims on a 40 mm scope and it still did not fit! Do not purchase if you are trying to use on a 40 to 42 mm objective bell. These parts are not inexpensive and the description of the adaptor is not accurate. Hopefully this review saves you the time and hassle of having to go through the return process.
