Armsight Sidekick 320 Review
I really enjoy using my new Armasight Sidekick 320 for watching wildlife at night but also because it is a force multiplier to protect my family/home at night. I can use my Armasight Sidekick 320 to DETECT people on my property, however, it isn't particularly good at IDENTIFICATION in the dark which is more for night vision. The Armasight Sidekick 320 is user friendly, easy to operate, and appears to be well made. Additionally, Optics Planet had the best deals with quick shipping! I have been a customer with Optics Planet for years and I highly recommend them.

Armasight Sidekick320
So this is a good unit if you are looking for a small handheld unit that will allow you to detect at fairly far distances. It does lack the resolution to identify outside of approx 100yrds. If this is the only thermal you have you will like it. If you have other thermal units that are only a few years old, you may not be impressed with the quality/sharpness of the image. This unit will detect heat and this will aid you when you get your other thermal scope on to the target. It is much easier to use to scan compared to using your primary optic on a rifle.
Pros:
- Small and light form factor. Multiple battery options. Online pic and video option. Option to helmet mount.
Cons:
- Image quality at distance is a little lacking for identifying targets.
Best Used for:
- Spotting scope for early detect.
