DLT's Review of Armasight Zeus 640 3-24x75mm Thermal Imaging Rifle Scope
I had originally purchased the 336 Zeus but decided to upgrade to the 640. Definitely worth the price increase. You get more detail from the scope and target identification is much better at further distances. Almost the same size and weight as the 336. Been using this scope on a 556 for predator hunting and hogs. If you want to get in the night hunting game, this is definitely the scope for you. The 336 is good within 100 yards and detail is ok. If you want to shoot further or just have more detail then purchase this scope. You can zoom in on this scope and even at 2x it's very clear... Pretty much 336 pixels at 2x. Zooming on the 336 is tough as it is too pixelated and grainy.
When I purchased the 336 the batteries came wrapped in a package brand new. When I received the 640, I got the new batteries in a pack but there was also batteries in the unit. I know the unit isn't supposed to be stored with the batteries installed. Made me think this unit had been used and returned. Called them and they insisted it was brand new. It looked new and worked so I just took their word for it. Haven't had issues yet so I'm ok with it. Just didn't like the fact it had batteries in it. New units shouldn't and after spending 6k you'd expect brand new.
Bought several products from these guys and they've been good. If you can spare the extra cash, grab the 640 and run. You won't be disappointed!
