The scope works great. Easy to zero. Can see critters to 1000 yards! It’s pretty user friendly too. I love the scope. What I don’t love is Flir/Armasight customer service. In fact I hate them. The remote that came with my scope is defective. Never worked from day one. I tried for a few weeks to reach out to Flir with no success. When I finally did get a hold of someone they redirected me to someone else who then didn’t answer they’re phone, so I left a detailed message. The phone call was never returned. I tried a few more times to contact Flir and was never able to contact anyone. So I finally gave up. If it wasn’t a cheesy remote it would be different. I would have just returned the scope to O.P. But it’s the principal of the matter. And if anything ever does go wrong with my scope, I know It’s going to be horrible trying to get the issue fixed. I am crossing my fingers. I will never buy from these clowns again. It’s unbeliveable that I couldn’t get this easily fixable issue fixed after I just dropped $5000. I’ll buy from Trijicon next time around.
Cons:
- Poor/no customer service.
- Defective Remote

Product is amazing clarity is amazing functionality is OK however you really run through the batteries not leaving it in use for very long. Your time little too pricey but you get what you pay for and I’m happy thank you

I have bought other thermal imaging products and return it because it was not a clear picture, was about to give up on thermal and I spoke to a armasight representative and he told me to buy this over the pro model so I did and I was surprised how clear it was with this scope. Now I am sold on armasight thermal scopes.

The Armasight Zeus 640 75mm delivers a very nice image at the cost of weight and bulkiness. The Armasight Zeus line is a 'barebones' thermal scope without all the functionality that can be found in similar products from say ATN or Pulsar. I found the button system on top of the scope to be clunky to use and the buttons require pressing relatively hard to get them to work. The Zeus 640 75mm is, however, built like a tank, so if this is your number one concern rather than having a myriad of features, you won't be disappointed. The "HD" lens that come on this Zeus now, and from what I understand, all Zeus scopes manufactured in the last year or so. provides a better picture I am told over what Armasight previously used for the objective lens. I have only looked through this newer lens version so have no firsthand experience in this comparison. Please note the scope no longer looks exactly like any pictures you readily find of the internet. The Zeus now has a different objective lens housing and focus ring and comes with a different lens cap (I didn't care for the style of lens cap it now comes with which 'dangles' when removed). All said, it's a solid scope that performs well and doesn't appear delicate, but don't expect it to internally record video or connect to your phone or have stadiametric range finding. Also, with FLIR buying Armasight, the future of the Armasight Zeus line is more unknown and whatever the support quality has been in the past, it may change with t...

This thermal was a great step up from NV. It was really easy to set up. I like the quick function controls and it is easy to operate on the fly. I use it for hog hunting and can identify hogs with little effort. NV has its place, but hunting hogs this is the ticket. It will give you heat signatures that would have never been detected or seen with NV. Staying on target after they run is much easier. It also aids in recovery of game.

This is the second Armasight/Flir thermal scope I have purchased the 1st one was a 42MM lighter smaller got the job done just fine, this time I purchased exact same spec scope with a 75MM lens I love is. Beware of OPMOD packaging I paid less for this scope and HDDVR than my OPMOD bundle for smaller scope. Optic planet will Bundle item and color them Tan and I did not realize that I paid a premium price for that Tan color 1st go around. The sales rep on the 1st told me it was a better deal till i challenged her on it.
I see alot of pro and cons people complaining you cannot see thru glass, hey if you truly hunting leave the truck, blind or cushy enclosure. one true complaint is scope get grainy in drizzle but you can still see heat signatures. I will talk thermal over night vision IR lit scope any day of the week.

I was quoted 3 weeks when I originally ordered this scope. It took 4 months. Every week I would call and then I would remain on hold while opticsplanet would call armasight. Every week armasight would say it will ship next Friday. When I finially got it in there was no hard case which was supposed to be included. 2 weeks later it showed up. To date I still have not received my mail in manufacturer rebate. So that's going on 5 months. It was for 500. Over all Armasight is a terrible company to deal with. I would never order from them again unless it was in stock and I would not base it on one of their rebates. I hope I never have to have warranty work done because this company is terrible to deal with and lie to their customers.
That's being said. The scope performs well so far but I've had it less than a month. You have to become very familiar with the operations of the scope to get the best picture.
Cons:
- customer service
- Wait time
- Lies
Best Used for:
- Hunting Recreational viewing

Both Optics Planet and Armasight are great companys to work with. There really is no bad reviews for these Thermal scopes. There are a lot of coyotes wishing I never ordered one of these. The option to set up 3 different weapons on these scopes are a great feature. It is very easy to sight these units in also.

I had originally purchased the 336 Zeus but decided to upgrade to the 640. Definitely worth the price increase. You get more detail from the scope and target identification is much better at further distances. Almost the same size and weight as the 336. Been using this scope on a 556 for predator hunting and hogs. If you want to get in the night hunting game, this is definitely the scope for you. The 336 is good within 100 yards and detail is ok. If you want to shoot further or just have more detail then purchase this scope. You can zoom in on this scope and even at 2x it's very clear... Pretty much 336 pixels at 2x. Zooming on the 336 is tough as it is too pixelated and grainy.
When I purchased the 336 the batteries came wrapped in a package brand new. When I received the 640, I got the new batteries in a pack but there was also batteries in the unit. I know the unit isn't supposed to be stored with the batteries installed. Made me think this unit had been used and returned. Called them and they insisted it was brand new. It looked new and worked so I just took their word for it. Haven't had issues yet so I'm ok with it. Just didn't like the fact it had batteries in it. New units shouldn't and after spending 6k you'd expect brand new.
Bought several products from these guys and they've been good. If you can spare the extra cash, grab the 640 and run. You won't be disappointed!
Pros:
- compact
- Lightweight, yet sturdy
- Awesome detail
