It feels nice and heavy, and the spring is good quality, but for a sound mitigation buffer it actually manages to make MORE sound while cycling than the standard spring/buffer. Sure, the twang is gone, but the whole time it's cycling the steel baffles grinds up against the wall of the buffer tube as well as the steel rod in the middle like nails on a chalkboard. Not quiet at all.
