great sound reduction

For the pice, this little upgrade is awesome. Takes away all the sound of the regular buffer spring. It reduces some felt recoil. Will be buying more of these.

Armaspec SMB 9mm

Does not work with 9 mm bolt carrier group. It is too short and the bolt carrier does not have the hollow cavity for the rod to go through. Don’t think about this one if it is for AR9.

Great Price for the upgrade

I'm really happy with this buy. My old buffer was falling apart, instead of buying a new spring and buffer this was barely any more $ so I went for it. Worked in my 300 blk pistol and my 5.56 piston pistol. While it definitely does mitigate the sound, I've personally found that the best part is the forward pressure increase from a standard spring. Even with a dirty chamber or other hangups, I've never had to use the forward assist with this installed. I have about 590 rounds on it now between the 2 guns I've used it on and it's been completely reliable. It's worth every penny.

Installed the heavy version in 6.5 grendel. Lessened recoil, much smoother. Will never use another buffer again. Get you one, stop considering and just get it.

Made a difference

The Armaspec C Sound Mitigation Gen3 Buffer definitely made a difference for the better. No more "twang" sound from a traditional spring and though the 5.56 doesn't have much recoil to begin with the Armaspec Sound Mitigation Buffer reduced it even more.
