GET THIS FOR YOUR ECHELON
Written on May 26, 2026
I was actually surprised by this thing. I’ve been shooting pistols for years and have tried many guide rod components across various platforms and models, this one was a reliable-first-time drop in. It comes for 4 springs of various lengths and 2 end caps, I used the shorter end cap and the shortest spring. The slide was super easy to rack and the impulse was really smooth running 115gr S&B + Herter’s. I ran about 100 rounds with no malfunction across the 2 shortest springs, currently sticking with the shortest spring because I like how easy it was to manipulate the slide. Highly recommend this if you’re looking to tune your recoil impulse and cycling over the stock guide rod.

My 4th Armaspec SM Buffer

Review for
Armaspec C Sound Mitigation Gen3 Buffer
I know these are pricey compared to normal mil-spec setup but they’re worth it. I like the recoil impulse on them a lot and have them on several guns across different calibers. I haven’t had issues with them yet, so these are my go-to’s right now for drop-in buffer system replacements.

Go-To for 9mm PCC

Review for
Kaw Valley Precision XL Linear Compensator
This is now my 3rd KVP Linear comp for 9mm and will probably always be my go-to. The gas getting pushed forward along with the comp are already great features. This also looks pretty nice and easily removed should you need to replace your muzzle device in the future. There’s no timing needed!

Very Surprised by this Comp
Written on Apr 06, 2026
Review for
Strike Industries Micro Threaded Compensator
Like the title states, I’m actually very surprised by how well this comp worked on a G34. I always had issues with comps and tuning for reliability, figured I gave this one a shot since it’s light weight enough to hopefully not affect the barrel tilt, and I was right. Ran about 400 rounds over the course of two days at the range and I will be keeping this on the G34 for the time being.

Vortex Viper & Trybe G26 Slide Combo
Written on Aug 26, 2025
Review for
Vortex Viper 1x24mm Reflex Red Dot Sight
I bought the combo of the slide and the viper red dot since they had a deal at the time on OP. When I went to install the red dot, the dot wouldn’t sit into the slide without me having sand out some material. The tolerance on this might be just a bit too tight with the slide. Anyway, after installation, I notice that the red dot itself has a terrible refresh rate on the lower power settings. I would have to turn it up super high to get it to not have low refresh rate, but that’s a potential issue in low light condition due to the blooming of the dot. I would recommend going with a Holosun if you’re on a budget, or just get an Aimpoint or Trijicon. I wouldn’t buy this again.

Vortex Viper & Cut Slide for G26 Combo
Written on Aug 26, 2025
I bought the combo of the slide and the viper red dot since they had a deal at the time on OP. When I went to install the iron sights the slide, I noticed that it was extremely difficult to install the rear sight, even with the sight push tool. Then when I went to install the red dot, the dot wouldn’t sit into the slide without me having sand out some material. The tolerance on this might be just a bit too tight, this is my first Trybe Glock slide, probably wouldn’t buy it again. Maybe it’s just for this particular optic cut, maybe the RMR version is fine. The design is cool though, looks like it’ll work ok.

3-Pack of G43 Mags
Written on Oct 04, 2022
Actually fits the +2 Strike mag extensions perfectly. Worked fine so far in all range trips. No malfunctions so far. Slides locked back one with the springs regardless of whether or not you have the extensions installed. Highly recommend.

Surprisingly Good Optics
Written on Aug 01, 2022
I know a lot of optics nowadays are a hit or miss but this one actually surprised me. I have a few “budget” LPVOs but this one easily takes the win. I’ll probably stick with it going forward instead of the strike eagle. Controls are really intuitive and I love the reset functions on the illuminated reticle. So simple yet makes a world of a difference!

Strike Angled Grip - Long Version
Written on Jan 29, 2022
Turns out to be one of my favorite grips. Not as long as I had imagine but that’s not a bad thing, it’s a good size for not being too short or too long. If you like the BCM Mod 3 vertical grip, you’ll like this one.

Review for
SIG SAUER ROMEO5 1x20mm 2 MOA Red Dot Sight
Love this sight. One of the best budget sights out there. Clear glass and responsive buttons up top. Battery is easy to swap out. I thought it would be too small but I actually prefer it being small now, you can get a better field of view of the surrounding that way. Highly recommend it if you’re on a budget!
