Very good for inexpensive

I got this scope as a packaged deal. Came with a Thompson Center Compass and scope ring. The entire package was $225. I did expect much for an inexpensive scope but I was surprised. The glass is pretty clear, this is becoming more common with newer scopes. The clarity drops off at max magnification and the eye-box gets smaller, however it's easily up there with scopes in the $300-400. My Athlon Argos and my Nikon Monarch are a set above but at over 3 times the price.
This would be the perfect scope for rim-fire all the way up to a hunting rifle. I'm not sure if it would survive on an AR-10 or a Scar.
I lost my elevation turret cap. Vortex sent me two new ones, stickers and a free hat. Your gonna get taken care of if there is a problem.

Good BCG. Too much extractor tension.

The fit and finish is great.
every so often the ar 10 bcg was closing all the way. Would go like 95-99% of the way home and hang up.
The bolt carrier came with two orings and a dual spring set up. Then amount of force required to get the extractor claw over the lip of the case was too much and the gun would randomly hang up.
I took one oring out and it's been perfect. Just a heads up if you have issues. I was running a 308 spring and buffer.

HIPERFIRE Hipertouch Reflex Trigger
When it comes to a light trigger with a lot of hammer energy this is on the top of my list. I don't like the competition red plastic shoe and prefer metal.
The break on this trigger is slightly different, as you start to get close to the break it starts to creep when it breaks. It doesn't feel anywhere near 2 pounds and I don't consider it a super crisp trigger with a definite wall, you know when you've reached the end of tolerance stack but there isn't a hump or high point just before the break. Honestly I like that for it's intended purpose.
It is super fast with lots of hammer force and very reliable.

This enhancer will double your magnification.
The optics clarity is as good as the original glass.
The field of view and eye box both become smaller, but that is unavoidable when you add magnification.
The two cons you need to know about.
One huge pro is the magnifyer has to be zeroed. I zeroed mine to 4 inches high at 100 yards, which gets me close at 300.
1. The alingment marks on mine when centered ate not tight enough and would loosen. I had to tighten to where the magnifyers marks is on the edge of the adapters mark. Not a big dea
2. Your reticles BDC marks are halved.

Good shooting barrel

I've been happy with Faxon barrels and have purchased 4 barrels from them.
This was my first Faxon barrel and I have gotten .6 moa on my best day with hand loads.
The quality is great, I only wish they shipped in a cardboard mailer tube with some padding as there was a cosmetic ding on the barrel extension.

Primary Arms Classic 30MM Red Dot (GEN II)
I own an Aimpoint ACO and while this optic isn't wouldn't be the one I would use in a SHTF situation it doesn't mean it couldn't hold up or wouldn't.
The glass is fairly clear and unlike the Aimpoint ACO it comes with Flip up caps, while not nearly as robust they don't feel flimsy and arn't an added expense.
Being able to go from off to 10 power instead of 0 then many clicks to full power is a very nice feature.
I haven't had any issues with the optic losing zero and I'm shot it on an AR 10 which has killed a couple scopes in the past.
If you need something that has a good chance of being reliable and are on a budget your can't go wrong with this optic.

I had amazingly good accuracy and SD using the 178 Eld M in my purpose built AR 10 with a faxon 20" match series barrel.
My barrel with this bullet and a load up of H4895 is the ticket for me. Your millage may vary based on your barrel and specific load.

This trigger does a good job and i loke it a lot. Ita best for quick shooting in a competition style setting. The break is sudden and almost surpurising as mine has a super small amount of creep as it breaks. I own a Velocity 3lbs and will say the velocity's wall is better when it breaks but has more resistance.
The trigger tech ar dimond feels the best when it breaks but has hardly any tactailness to the reset.
If your doing 3 gun or anythinf like that this is the one.

Bootleg Inc Bolt Completion Kit
Finish looks great, installed and shot about 50 rounds. So far the extractor has been nice to the rim, I've haf some in the past that mark it up. The ejection is good and the gas ring to bcg feels good. Was nice to see good parts at this price.
Just what was needed. Great for switching back and forth from kid sized to grown up.

I didn't use the hand rail as it's shorter and further forward and my twelve year old would be able to reach it well.
With this butt stock I can shot it then we can adjust it for her. It's a win win. The fit has a good amount of slop and rattle and I think it's a bit excessive but I'm not concerned as it's a shotgun and not a precision rifle the side shell holder is awesome and is adjustable to you hull diameter and it a great addition for quick reloads.
