So I got one for a SBR build and this thing helped my over-gassed gun feel super smooth.
Most Helpful Negative Review Doesn't Work...
I have tried to run this thing and It don't work... Won't cycle in a suppressed Sbr with factory ammo. I have tried different weights and this product is junk.. Just a rip off of the JP. I will just run JP from now on they work.

Recoil system

I just got this and haven't gotten to try it yet. I am trying to fit this to a rifle instead of a carbine. Figured I would have to make a spacer in the buffer tube. But a quick email to Armaspec and I found out they made a spacer for about $6.50 plus shipping. Cheaper and easier than me turning one out on the lathe.

armaspec ar15 gen 4 buffer

I have one of these installed on all of my rifles I love how it reduces the noise when charging the weapon. Much smoother and cleaner application definitely recommend it.

Love these Armaspec recoil springs

I have one of these in just about all of my ARs at this point. I love how flat they allow me to shoot and I do not miss the twang of the typical recoil spring. Shooting suppressed now actually feels silent. I can Easy recommend these. IF you have a rifle length buffer tube A1/A2, you WILL need the extension piece you buy separately to fit in there. Just a heads up it’s like 6 or 7 bucks

Cons:
  • Does not include an adapter for A1/A2 buffer tubes
Best Used for:
  • AR carbine length buffer tubes

Wouldn't cycle

Brand new rifle, brand new upgraded bolt and charging handle. Replaced OEM spring and buffer with this. Stovepiped every casing- failure to eject, and I had to pry every casing out of the bolt head. Same with and without suppressor. Going back to a lighter buffer and Geissele spring.

  • It's shiny.
Cons:
  • See description - seems way heavier than H2

definitely quiter

All in all not a bad system. Doesn’t rattle when shaking the gun or pulling the charging handle. It is a little more difficult to install and uninstall if that matters to you since it’s stiff and not a spring. I went with the h2 vs the standard weight and I didn’t notice a difference in recoil but ejection was perfect.
