Lomo Astele 48-146x60mm zoom spotting scope
Works well on any tripod , light enuf to just carry it about it needed. The lens is so clear and powerful. You can use any eyepiece and filter. Just great to have a telescope that doesn't give you a moon upside down and reverse left to right.
Pros: Fantastic optics. Lightweight. Simple to use.
60mm LOMO spotting scope
I received the LOMO scope, eyepiece and tripod from Optics Planet in Australia in less than 2 weeks. Service was excellent, including replying to email inquiries. The scope is great value and very good optically.

incredible optics for the money!
Everyone who has looked through this scope has wanted one. My uncle tried to buy it off of me the other day. The Russians have created a real winner. Dont even try to consider those Chinese spotting scopes you see in the ads in the newspaper. There's no comparison. I purchased a couple of RINI eyepieces on Ebay and they work gloriously well with the LOMO.
Pros: Easy to setup and focus, solid construction, excellent optics.
Cons: Soft case a bit flimsy...should be hardshell.

Decent for the money
When it arrived we noticed part of a fingerprint inside on the veiwers lens. Since it was on the inside we could not remove it. Called and we were told we would need to send the whole unit back not just the veiw piece.
Pros: Cheap, good on rifle range
Cons: Hard to find stars with it.
