Great boots
Very solid. A pair will last me about 5 yrs of constitant ware. I've had many pairs over about 20 yrs. I used lexal leather conditioner for about a month before daily use. Break in time is about 2 weeks of daily use. Like any quality leather shoe/boot break in period that is somewhat uncomfortable. I don't do anything special for break in other then leather conditioner. So that have may something to do with the mild discomfort during break in.
