classy glass
now have had this glass for 1 plus month and can say that the clarity and the build quality is there but the low light usefullnes is'nt.
i use this mostly for nature watching and the need to sight in new riffles and different ammo out to 300 yds. four would be a strain.
this tool is rugged and small enough for easy travel and hiking and will plaese your eye for what its made for in the price range that i could afford.
A great spotty for the range
I was looking for a more packable scope for the range and for wildlife viewing. This scope fits the bill. I can now see my impacts on paper very distinctly and very quickly. I'm shooting a 22-250, so bullet holes are quite small. The glass is very good for the price point and the focus adjustment is smooth with the right tension. I have moved up from a cheaper spotty and the difference in clarity is astounding, zero regrets on this purchase. The protective neoprene cover could have been better designed as it can interfere with focusing and use of the sun shade, but that is a minor detail. Athlon continues to be very competitive in the field of optics.

Sized for hunting
Compact size is great for taking with you on a hunt. Clear & bright field of vision. Smooth easy focus that is not touchy. Built in tripod adapter eliminates a potential trouble spot.

Perfect size
I got this spotting scope based on its compact size for a 65mm objective. It’s great in the truck or in the backpack. The clarity is also impressive. I have not had the chance to compare it side by side with anything else.

Wow, impressive spotting scope!
This spotting scope blows me away. UPS just delivered it and I'm testing it against my Kowa TNS-88A and all I can say is "Wow!" No discernable difference at 45x power between the two at 7pm here in bright sunlight. I'm sure the Kowa is better in extreme low light but this Ares is amazingly clear. I would highly recommend this one. I almost wish I wouldn't have spent big money on the Kowa because this Ares would/will serve my needs just fine. I'm sure I will be putting this in my backpack often.

Wow, impressive spotting scope!

Great scope - especially at this price point
This scope is phenomenal - I had it set up next to a vortex razor 20-60x85 and the glass is as good if not slightly better, and at half the price. The FOV is great, it is a little on the heavier side, but feels solid, all dials are super smooth, and it has a no questions asked warranty. Athlon is what vortex used to be, I absolutely love it.

Athlon ares 15x45x65
Great spotting scope for the money, very clear and compact. Excited to use it for a mule deer hut this fall. Overall very happy with the purchase and buying experience. Quick shipping for being back ordered
