Please read this! - Athlon Optics Argos BTR 6-24x50mm Side Focus Rifle Scope

I was putting together a budget build bolt action and read about how great athlon was. I bought the mil style argos and started my journey. 100 yard was a cake walk and quickly got to 500 yard. As I got to 1000 yard I noticed that the elevation knob had ran out. I didn't realize this only had 13 click for elevation and windage. I had to compensate and use my reticle, to hit my target. My only opinion was to shim my scope and try again next time. I still think it was worth it, but I think this was made to hit 500 yards to 800 yards. I just don't think this had enough adjustment to hit long distance. There's many videos online with people shooting at 1000+ yards and they definitely are pros, but for an average joe I think it would be difficult to do it, but definitely not impossible.
