Quality optic at reasonable price - Athlon Optics Argos BTR 8-34x56mm Side Focus Rifle Scope

Athlon Optics gets a bad reputation at times due to manufacturing of the parts in China. But in all honesty what isn't made in china these days. As long as the quality control is up to the standards required it doesn't make a difference to me. That being said, this is a quality optic for the money. It is no nightforce, us optic, or leupold. But you know what you aren't paying the ridiculous price either. Now with the understanding that many of us love our firearms and wish we could afford to put $1500++ glass on our rifles...the reality is I don't make enough money to allow that to be practical. I would prefer to have a few rifles with decent enough glass than one rifle with exceptional glass.

The Athlon Optics Argos BTR 8-34 x56 FFP (MOA)is a stellar scope for the money. The glass is clear to my eyes. It transmits plenty of light. The parallax adjustment works well. The turrets could be a little more crisp but they will do just fine. I preformed a single tracking test at 100yds. Mearsured the appropriate distances for MOA shifts and the scope adjusted and went back to zero better than I expected. Any errors would most likely due to me and not the optic.
The reticle is very crisp and appears very clear at a variety of magnifications.
The scope is a bit heavy...but it is a 30mm tube with a big magnification range.
