Very clear glass. Solid built. Made in Japan. I don't have vortex razor gen2 to compare, but I did all my research from others that compared it.
Thanks Athlon for giving us a great scope at a great price point.
Pros:
- 56mm objective
- FFP
- Made in Japan
- UHD glass

I don’t own any very expensive scopes. But I do own an Athlon Cronus G2, a Leupold Mark 4, and a Vortex Razor Gen II. They are all great scopes. But the Razor glass edge to edge clarity is not on par with the Cronus or Mark 4. And the difference is pretty obvious. I like all three scopes. The Razor has the best locking zerostop turrets and illumination dial. The Mark 4 is the lightest and the pr2 reticle is useful. I think the Cronus has the best reticle and the glass really gathers light during the last minute or so of shooting light. Maybe it’s a tie between the Mark 4 and Cronus on image quality, but the nod goes to the Cronus because it is illuminated and because the turrets are stiff and don’t move easily like on the Mark 4. The Razors of course don’t move accidentally at all. Overall, I think the Cronus wins.

This scope seems to be a great value for the money. I have used it so shoot 1350 yards, and can easily shoot out to 1500+. I have really liked usimg it on my rifle. You can spend the extra money on the vortex genii hd, or a nightforce, but you dont HAVE to with this scope

For the prife this is one of the best scopes you can get. The glass clarity is on par with a Gen 2 Vortex Razor. The turret clicks are better than my Nightforce NX8 and positive enough that I am not concerned about accidentally dialing. I think the APRS6 is my favorite long range reticle with very clear marking. The illumination is significantly brighter than my Nightforce NX8, Vortex Razor Gen 2, and Leupold Mark 4HD and is very clearly visible in bright days or high fontract backdrops. This also feels very robust and durable. It's a heavy scope, but in comparison to the competition such as a Razor Gen 2 it is bearly 13 ounces lighter. The zero stop is easy to set and has a very positive stop when hit.
Pros:
- field of view
- Glass clarity
- Bright illumination
- Generous eyebox
- amazing turrets
