I don't shoot competition but I really wanted to stretch out the distance with a better grade .22 trainer that I own. I read quite a few scope reviews and felt like the athlon helos 6-24×56 was the best scope for what I wanted to do. Especially at its price point. Was hitting 4 inch gongs at 175 yrds with regular grade ammo. First time I have used a ffp scope and I have to say it was great fun using the reticle for elevation and chasing the wind.

Returned product as the top torrent was not turning and the illumination knob was also very tight.
This was my first time buying a brand that was reported to be of good value. I has since gone back to Vortex

Looking for a decent scope for my Bergara HMR, one that would not break the bank and would give me what I like. I had never considered Athlon before, but this scope piqued my interest. Being that I bought it for under $500, I decided to try it out. This scope does everything well. Is it as good as my Vortex Razor?, No, but I do not expect that for less than a third of the price. For the money, this may very well be the best value in optics out there. I was very impressed, to say the least. Overall, with the decent optical quality, good mechanical function, and very good price point, this optic is hard to beat. Only fault I found was a tiny bit of slop in the elevation turret, but that is getting very picky. Big question is will it hold up under pressure? Time will tell that. It does have the lifetime warranty, so I am not concerned. This is simply a feature rich scope that performs adequately in every respect. My hat off to the guys at Athlon. They did a great job putting together this optic.

This is a great scope, great bang for the buck, and my friends were impressed with how much light this scope has.
I would buy it again in a heartbeat!

Overall nice optic for the cost. Eye relief is good for larger calibers with a lot of recoil. Image is clear and the illuminated reticle is great for those times where it blends in with the background. Would be nice if a sunshade or lens covers were included.

This is proof its got bang for the buck this is my second review, mounted on a .264 win mag took recoil fine and held zero. Boxed the target well with perfect return to zero.
note its 34 mm not 30 mm

Discrepancies with diameter statement of 30 mm in various descriptions is stated various diameters its 34 mm diameter be careful.
Otherwise very good product, satisfied very good glass
Great mid level price scope , will likely purchase another.
