Froze up!! - Athlon Optics Rangecraft Velocity Pro Radar Chronograph, 2.4 in Display

I am very sad but I am having to return my Rangecraft Pro Radar Chronograph. First off it seems like a well made product. Something that could take a licking and keep on ticking. The tripod stand is pretty nice as well. A swivel head would be helpful but is not an absolute must have. The buttons are easy to operate the functions are simple. The display is big and bright enough easy to read. I wish it had an audible read out. As far as I can tell it didn't miss any shot captures at all. Responded very fast.

Now the bad!
The software is not great! Actually its kind of bad in my opinion. It gives you all the data you need but it is not in a simple format that is easy to use or transfer to another program. It just doesn't work well if you are one who likes to dig deep into the numbers they make you work for it, at least for me. There is no program that will directly link to a PC or Mac computer. only a phone or I-pad type device which only gives you a bigger screen than your phone does. It doesn't give any more analytic functions that I am aware of. DIGITAL LINK used by the PRO CHRONOGRAPH is a very easy to used program that works on any platform and I can scroll through every thing I have every chronograph. It gives me charts, etc. With this you have to scroll through individual excel spreadsheet page. No charts, no ability to edit the data unless your a spreadsheet wiz .

When entering your data, there is no way to copy it from one screen to another. For instance lets say you have 5 rifles that are the same caliber and you have 5 favorite bullets that you shoot in those 5 rifles. There is no way to copy the ballistic info of the 5 bullets and paste them under each of the 5 rifles. No you have to write them 25 times. And not only that you have to give them unique names otherwise when you chrono the same bullet with a different rifle it will change the ballistic chart on the 1st rifle as well.

Also there are no preset ballistic charts for any 22LR ammo of any kind. 22LR Bench rest and its counter parts is a pretty substantial crowd.
But the reason I am sending mine back is on the second day of use, it has completely frozen up. Nothing works on it. Screen is frozen, locked up tighter than a nun's knickers.
