The Hitman's Review of Athlon Optics Talos BTR 1-4 x 24mm Rifle Scopes 30mm Second Focal Plane

I plan on using the scope on my M4 carbine. Farthest shot I'll probably ever take with it is 200 yards. I didn't buy this scope for close groupings. My goal is to hit a man-sized target with this scope at 200 yards in shtf scenario. Since that'll be my fathest shot I will never have to worry about making any adjustments with the turrets when zeroed at 50 yards. I don't like using turrets unless I know that they are 100% accurate which I know these aren't going to be, so for an AR 10 I wouldn't mount it. Plus the turrets and dash recticle (only subtensions no numeric value) are in milliradians and I like using moa. So the scope being in Mils wasn't a factor for me since I'll never touch the turrets after zeroing. I purchased this mainly as an upgrade over a red dot, and for targets primarily within 50 yards with the option of longer distances. Having a 4x zoom will definitely give me the ability for more precise shots and target identification more so than just a 2 moa red dot at any distance. Anything farther than 200 yards I will go to my AR-10 which has a 20x42 SWFA scope, no problem sending love out to 850 yards(farthest range near me). Much better quality glass made in Japan and I have a cant with a red dot on it for anything up close. Oh, I also love the illuminated reticle, reminds me of playing a video game like Far Cry. Anything that makes shooting even more exciting and enjoyable definitely gets a thumbs-up from me. I definitely would recommend this scope, especially at the price. Perfect for my needs, for yours I don't know.
