JD's Review of Atibal Velocity 1-4x
I did a lot of reasearch on various 1-4 and 1-6 scopes for my versatile 14.5 AR build. There are a ton of scopes in this category. I have always been impressed with Japanese glass and Japanese manufacturing in general, which is why I was looking hard at the Razor. After reviewing what I really needed, I chose the Atibal Velocity. I didn’t really need over 4x, fancy turrets or reticle. I needed high quality, simplicity and sharp glass. I also wanted a value! I feel great about the purchase. The glass quality seems on par with my TA31 ACOG. If you’re looking for a high quality, simple low power variable scope with a ton of value look very hard at this scope from Atibal. From what I’ve researched about this company they seem to be working hard to earn business which I respect. They also seem to be providing a quality product at an attractive price. A couple of notes about the scope; has almost 5” of eye relief which is great for “situational awareness” but you will need an extended cantilever mount like the ADM Recon X or LaRue SPR-E, the illumination is not what I would call daylight bright it is more for low light shooting so don’t expect an RDS type red center (I don’t think it is trying to be anyways). I have another AR with an Aimpoint for that purpose. Go ahead and get this scope if it fits your needs like mine at a superbly affordable price.
