Most Helpful Positive Review High end quality at mid level prices
I received my Velocity last year and have been putting it through its paces. This optic doesnt have much fanfare, partially because it's from a relatively new company. Its a great piece of equipment imported from Japan and the quality is apparent throughout. One thing you can appreciate with this optic is that it's a quality first piece. The glass, the cleanliness and sharpness of the reticle... the overall fit and finish is outstanding. The optic is illuminated with seven settings, although it is not daylight bright. This isn't a issue as overall the simple German #4 style works well for sh...

Atibal Velocity

by toehead, from FL, United States Written on January 30, 2019
I bought this as my first LPVO with the Atibal QD Mount so I can swap between my red dot sight. The HD glass on this scope and quality was a big surprise for the price. I was over impressed with the scope. So much so, that I pre-ordered the new Atibal X for my new 224 Valkyrie upper to take advantage of the longer range capacity of the cartridge. I pre-ordered without any worries because of how great the Velocity was for me. The XP8 has a strong following too.
Pros:
  • HD glass quality

The best mid range optic in its class.

by Patrick Slater, from NY, United States Written on January 29, 2019
I bought mine when it first came on the market and it’s my favorite 1-4 that own. I recommend to anyone look for a great medium distance optic. The glass is just as clear if not clearer than my Nightforce optics.

High Quality Scope at a Reasonable Price

by JD, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on May 15, 2018
I did a lot of reasearch on various 1-4 and 1-6 scopes for my versatile 14.5 AR build. There are a ton of scopes in this category. I have always been impressed with Japanese glass and Japanese manufacturing in general, which is why I was looking hard at the Razor. After reviewing what I really needed, I chose the Atibal Velocity. I didn’t really need over 4x, fancy turrets or reticle. I needed high quality, simplicity and sharp glass. I also wanted a value! I feel great about the purchase. The glass quality seems on par with my TA31 ACOG. If you’re looking for a high quality, simple low power variable scope with a ton of value look very hard at this scope from Atibal. From what I’ve researched about this company they seem to be working hard to earn business which I respect. They also seem to be providing a quality product at an attractive price. A couple of notes about the scope; has almost 5” of eye relief which is great for “situational awareness” but you will need an extended cantilever mount like the ADM Recon X or LaRue SPR-E, the illumination is not what I would call daylight bright it is more for low light shooting so don’t expect an RDS type red center (I don’t think it is trying to be anyways). I have another AR with an Aimpoint for that purpose. Go ahead and get this scope if it fits your needs like mine at a superbly affordable price.
Pros:
  • Clarity, quality, value
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Lightweight compact rifle builds

Amazing clarity, solid feel

by patdaily, from MS, United States Written on February 7, 2018
All of the reviews so far refer to the price of this optic. In a side by side comparison with two other well know manufacturers proved to me this was the best priced AR optic for me. Atibal created a lifelong customer after the purchase of this product! Very, very high quality at an affordable price.

Amazing scope for the price

by Rook, from PA, United States Written on April 28, 2016
I bought this scope after getting my EOTech refund, and loved it right out of the box. My first real impression was the crispness of the turrets. They are really clear. I first put it on my Mossberg MVP .223 and it looked and shot great. I now have it on my Sharps Jack rifle. I wanted a top notch scope on my top rifle. The cross hairs do light up, but aren't very bright. But it doesn't matter because I don't need illumination during the day. Now during the evening when the coyotes start coming out, I'll turn it on and it's perfect because it's not blinding. The glass is VERY clear, I was shocked. I held it up next to my Leupold patrol and it was like looking through binocular's. I seriously think this is one of the better scopes out there, and you can't beat the price. I hope this helps.
Pros:
  • Very clear, very easy to glance at it and find eye center with the wide relief
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • 3 gun, and varmint hunting

Top rate optic for a great price!

by Ryan Lanning, from CA, United States Written on April 28, 2016
I have had the velocity for about 6 months and am totally in love with it. Great build quality with a lighter weight than similar variable scopes in its class. The optic is super clear. Very thin contrasting crosshairs and thick posts make it super easy to sight in quickly and accurately. I highly recommend this scope!!

Absolutely beautiful.

by Ryan Wiggins, from AZ, United States Written on April 28, 2016
You may say I am biased, because ATIBAL Optics is now one of my major sponsors, sending me around the country competing in 3-Gun Nation events, but hear me out.

This scope is solid. For those who know glass, you know there is less than a couple glass manufacturers in Japan. So if you do your research, and see who else gets their glass from Japanese glass manufacturers, you can figure out just exactly how high quality the internals of this product are, because of the machines and processes they come from. One MFG actually charges over $2000 for this same technology. I am being mysterious because I forget exactly what I am allowed to say.

Looking through this scope, right off the bat you will see extreme clarity and outstanding light transmission, which tests right up there with the $1500 Euro scopes you can see with bigger and older names laser engraved on the side.

The Velocity may only be a 1-4x scope, I understand some people are looking for a 1-6x or 1-8x for 3Gun. We all know there are only a few 1-6x's on the market under $1000, and we also know they are made in China and lack the clarity and consistency of the Velocity's Japanese glass. And the 1-8x, we'll, I'd rather upgrade my turbo on my diesel and get a new set of 35" rubber before spending $4000 on a rifle scope. But maybe thats just me.

The Velocity features low profile target turrets underneath the caps. The adjustments are 1/2 MOA. Perfect for what we do in 3Gun. They are positive. They are firm. You know a ...
