Ryan Wiggins's Review of Atibal Velocity 1-4x

You may say I am biased, because ATIBAL Optics is now one of my major sponsors, sending me around the country competing in 3-Gun Nation events, but hear me out.

This scope is solid. For those who know glass, you know there is less than a couple glass manufacturers in Japan. So if you do your research, and see who else gets their glass from Japanese glass manufacturers, you can figure out just exactly how high quality the internals of this product are, because of the machines and processes they come from. One MFG actually charges over $2000 for this same technology. I am being mysterious because I forget exactly what I am allowed to say.

Looking through this scope, right off the bat you will see extreme clarity and outstanding light transmission, which tests right up there with the $1500 Euro scopes you can see with bigger and older names laser engraved on the side.

The Velocity may only be a 1-4x scope, I understand some people are looking for a 1-6x or 1-8x for 3Gun. We all know there are only a few 1-6x's on the market under $1000, and we also know they are made in China and lack the clarity and consistency of the Velocity's Japanese glass. And the 1-8x, we'll, I'd rather upgrade my turbo on my diesel and get a new set of 35" rubber before spending $4000 on a rifle scope. But maybe thats just me.

The Velocity features low profile target turrets underneath the caps. The adjustments are 1/2 MOA. Perfect for what we do in 3Gun. They are positive. They are firm. You know a good click when you feel it. The Velocity has that.

The variable power adjustment is firm, and every Velocity I have felt, feels exactly the same. I cant say the same for some of the other scopes in this category. I unboxed 3 items made by a large mfg who has stuff made in China, and not only did the boxes smell like Chernoboyl when I opened them, all of the features of the scope were inconsistent. The clicks, the zoom, the finish, the threaded caps. And if you flip the scope over and peel off the small clear label, you can see MADE IN CHINA when you pull it off and hold it up to the light. The eagle is striking.

If you turn the Velocity around backwards and hold it up to the light, you can see high quality, aircraft grade machining on the inside. No hot glue hanging around the threads and orings. Just solid, clean components. Check out your scope. What does the inside look like?

You will not find a Japanese glass or decent quality, first focal plane, illuminated reticle, 1-4x scope less than a grand, except right here. Atibal brings this bad mama in at just over $500 right now with the optics planet discount/sale.

I use this scope on my competition rifle, and I love it. A few of my friends have also purchased it and love the results. It may not be a 1-6, however, with the fine crosshair reticle, and the built in light transmission and clarity, those 400 yards shots arent too tuff.

I wish I could show each and every one of you my scope. Then you would understand. Everyone who has looked down range through my rifle has said "and this scope is less than $1000?!?!?"

I highly recommend this scope as a 3Gun scope, or to top your favorite medium range precision rifle. The clarity is there. The consistency is there. The accuracy is there. The price point is half of the competitors. But honestly, its not easy for a company to enter the optics world and be competitive. People feel comfortable buying a scope from a company thats been in every magazine they have ever seen. Atibal is new. If Atibal decided to sell this scope for $1000, they would still be offering the same glass, a few hundred dollars cheaper than some of the big names you see in magazines, with a better guarantee. If you message them on facebook, or instagram, the owner of the company will respond to you. Why? Because it is a small company. Run by a few people who put their heart into what they sell. Try that with a big name.

I hope this review helps some of you make a decision on a high end piece of glass. If any of you are in Arizona and wants to play with one, hit me up on FB, and I will get with you to show you my scope hands on.
