Solid and lightweight design

by Bobby, Verified Owner from NM, United States Written on August 31, 2025
This is a better design than most sling stud adaptors. Very solid, plus lower profile and lighter. Ordering a second one. It's not made for super narrow stocks, but some rubber foam fixed that for me.
Pros:
  • Solid, light, well made
Cons:
  • Not for narrow stocks
Best Used for:
  • Hunting rifles with nice stocks that you're don't want to modify

Too loose on a Remington 700 SPS factory stock. If it doesn’t fit on one of, if not the, most popular rifles in history, what does it fit without modification??? I understand rubber can be added, but why on such a popular rifle? What exactly did they model it to?

My stock too narrow for this mount

by Mike91, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on September 7, 2024
Product has solid construction, however, my rifle (Sako S20, hunter stock) was too narrow for the outermost sides of the mount to engage against the stock and hold it securely.

Per the product manual regarding this scenario, I used additional rubber to raise the contact surface. While I was able to get the mount somewhat securely attached using this method, the end result was around a 2-3 mm gap between the stock and the edge of the mount (the outermost ~20% of the contact surface width-wise was overhang). The end result was reduced resistance to twisting forces when using the bipod and ultimately the mount was not as sturdy as I would have liked it to be.

For someone with a thicker rifle stock base where the product would fully contact across its entire surface, I think this product would work well.
Pros:
  • solid construction
Cons:
  • Did not work for me
Best Used for:
  • Thick stocks or flatter stock bases

does not work for narrow stocks

by WAllen, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on February 28, 2024
Purchased the stud mount for a Christian Arms FFT stock. The stock was too narrow even though Atlas’s website stated it would fit. I used rubber pads as directed for better fit however would not fit snug and move with slight pressure from the bipod. Based on my experiences it may work better on a wider forearm.
