paul's Review of ATN 1,500 yard Auxiliary Ballistic Laser Rangefinder for Smart HD Scopes
1) Optics planet people are GREAT.
2) Customer support at ATN is at best BAD. Called 5 times on this product 4 of the 5 times I went through a 15 minute call count down and when it was my turn the automated system informed that I was being placed in a mail box. ( ATN never returned my calls )
3) The instructions are not very clear as how to mount and connect the unit be aware that there is a small set screw in the top that needs to be backed out before installation.
4)The Laser range finder used for set up cannot be seen past 15' in day time no where close to the 50 yard claim.
5)When activated the range finder jumps two feet to the right If you are hunting small game you will miss.
6)There is no indication on the ABL unit (Light) that the range finder is on.
7)When I activated the unit I did see the yards change on the top of the screen but the cross hairs did not move bullet impact was off by 2" going from 50 to 100 yards even though the yardage did change on the screen.
8) Because of all of these problems I went back through the set up again now the unit will not pair with the scope.
9) be aware if you mount the unit on the side of your scope and use a light the ABL will block the light.
Hope others have better luck this one is going back.
