Most Helpful Positive Review Great scope for the price
Really theres only 3 issues I have with this scope and its minor stuff to me but may n o t be for someone else.First of all it does not come with a manual, only with like a quick setup guide. I think that for the price one is paying you should at least get a manual and not have to go online to print...

Most Helpful Negative Review It's got potential
The concept behind this scope is awesome, but real life performance is just not there yet. ATN let all the hype of this product lead them to a premature release of an obviously incomplete product. My wife ordered mine as a Christmas gift (thanks to OpticsPlanet's inaccurate inventory, it didn't arri...

Scope and service

by Reuel Armendariz, from TX, United States Written on December 7, 2019
I have owned this scope for over two years. At first I used it with regular batteries but the unit tend to use them quite often. I ended up buying the external battery pack from ATN to get more life out of it. With a full charge, I can use my scope all day and not run out of battery. The zero feature is really nice as I save some ammo and it’s easy to use. Also the night vision is very good even to take pictures. One day, I started to upload the latest file and my scope froze during the update. I contacted ATN and they indeed got to my email the next working day (as it was the weekend (Sunday)) I explained the problem and they replied with a solution. “My” was the one helping me with the problem. She was very helpful and tried several steps to figure out the issue. Since we were unable to fix the issue, she made the warranty into effect even though I didn’t have anymore. She went beyond my expectations and I’m pleased with her service. I am a firm believer that ATN has their word on their products as “My” has proved it. For no doubt, I will recommend ATN as they have provided an excellent service. Thank you so much My!!! :)

  • one shot zeroing, day and night scope, video recording

X-sight HD series day/nite optics

by lawrence, from FL, United States Written on December 14, 2016
I bought this for just night browsing in Florida. I keep it mounted on a camera tripod, but needed to buy a tripod to picatinny rail for it to fit. Be sure to READ the directions before playing with the scope - read ALL the directions. The YouTube videos are great to watch to see actual application. If you are used to really crisp images in high end scopes - you will need to get used to this. However, the video footage it renders is great. Buy plenty of AA batteries as you will use some up familiarizing yourself with the scope. higher end batteries are recommended. I have not used the WiFi function as I am usually using in the house or just outdoors and want to conserve battery power.
All in all, a really good buy for the bucks!

ATN 3-12 X-Sight

by Rich, Verified Owner from VA, United States Written on June 18, 2016
Back in February I bought two of 3-12 ATN X-Sight Rifle scopes to try out. The early reviews sounded great but in actual use I wish I could give this sight less than one star. I found that the scope went out of focus with every shot. It was also very finicky when setting the zero. I also had trouble turning the scope off and it wanted to turn itself back on. I ended up pulling the batteries between uses.

The concept is great but ATN has more work to do. Don't waste your money buying one of these. As of today (June 18, 2016) I see that ATN has discontinued the scope. I guess they got too many complaints.

Atn x sight

by Whirlwind48, from TX, United States Written on May 6, 2016
Great product. Very durable and we'll built. Lithium batteries are a must. The alkaline will drain rapidly. This scope will illuminate well up to 150 yards. The one shot scope zeroing will definitely cut back on your range time and $.

3-12x X-Sight Night Vision Rifle Scope

by JayWilderness, from VT, United States Written on May 5, 2016
I bought this for hog hunting in Florida. It will mount on my slug barrel or my .308. Before playing with the scope - read ALL the directions. Seriously, it is not much reading but will save you headaches later. The YouTube videos are great to watch to see actual application. If you are used to really crisp images in high end scopes - you will need to get used to this. However, the video footage it renders is fantastic! Buy plenty of AA batteries as you will use some up familiarizing yourself with the scope. I have not used the WiFi function as I am usually using it solo and want to conserve battery power.
All in all a very good buy for the money
Pros:
  • Solid construction quality all around and a pic rail option on top for additional mounts
  • decent price point
  • easy to read instructions
Cons:
  • Eats batteries.
  • makes you want the more expensive thermal "big Brother"
Best Used for:
  • hog hunting at night
  • shooting instruction

Good bang for the buck

by Boss, from GA, United States Written on May 3, 2016
For the price, excelent piece or equipment. With minor adjustments to the charging system and ir illuminator. such as an alternate power source,ie, USB pocket charger for extended time. Will extend your hunting time with batteries from two and a half hrs to eight and a half hrs with a pocket charger. Stream light offers a higher intensity illuminator for more distance and clarity at night. I intend to buy the 5 by18 also.
Pros:
  • good all around
Cons:
  • BATTERY SITUATION!!

Best buy for the money

by chris, from PA, United States Written on May 2, 2016
For what I paid for the night scope, this is the best I have found on the market. You definitely have to read the directions and play around with it for a while to understand all the extras and capabilities that this scope offers. Buttons are a little bit quikery, but hang in there they do come around. You may have to press the buttons firmly. Night vision is good. You just can't move the scope to quickly. You need to move it slowly so the computer can catch the scene. If you move to fast it will take the processor a few seconds to focus. Overall a very cool piece for the price. If I had to do this over again I would buy the 2nd generation model, they have all the quirks worked out. Otherwise you will have to spend several thousand dollars in order to get a good night or vision scope.
Pros:
  • great value for the money
Cons:
  • None

ATN X-Sight Day/Night vision scope

by Carla, from WI, United States Written on April 26, 2016
I bought this for my husband to use to shoot coyotes at night. Once you get used to all the features he says its really cool. He wishes that he would have gotten the 3-16 power. He's happy with it. (however it's just a little hard on batteries) he says it's a small price to pay for a quality item.
Pros:
  • Lots of features
Cons:
  • a little busy when making adjustments
Best Used for:
  • day or night shooting

Lots of hi tech goodies but with a price

by nimbex, from TX, United States Written on March 7, 2016
I thought that the X Sight this did a decent job of being a day and night vision scope and overall thought it would do the job. There were a number of things that I wouldn't use such as: a compass, GPS, wireless connection etc. I found out after the first day of using standard batteries (it suggests the high dollar AA batteries)that it would last for about an hour. If you bought the more expensive batteries it says 6-8 hours. I tried turning everything off, compass, GPS and the it still lasted less than an hour. Nice scope, nice price but too much of an energy hog for my tastes.
