Great day & night scope - ATN X-Sight 4K Pro Edition 3-14x50mm Smart HD 30mm Tube Day/Night Rifle Scope

Great scope – great value. Great customer support. Works well in both daylight and dark. I love the fact that it has six profiles to easily facilitate its use on multiple weapons. I did download the manual and read it prior to purchase, so I was very careful to install the new firmware and do the factory reset prior to use. Having a few questions, I contacted customer support. I even received a follow-up call from the account manager to insure I was not having trouble and to provide tips that are not in the manual. After this I had absolutely no problems. I have utilized all 6 of the profiles to enable the use on 3 different rifles and load combinations. It holds zero with no problems. I tested the repeatability of the profile several times (lots of shooting). I initially had a problem with repeatability until the account manager told me to always zoom back to the lowest power, in my case 3X, before saving the profile setting. This completely solved all repeatability issues.
Where I hunt hogs at night, range is limited to slightly over 200 yards. I have no problems seeing hogs (even small ones) clearly enough to insure proper bullet placement at that distance, even using the IR illuminator on low or medium power. Other than just trying out the photo and video capabilities, which seemed very satisfactory, I have not fully tested these options. I also do not utilize the range finder/ballistic functions.
If I must find fault with something, I have 2 issues. First, the manual (which I was told is being rewritten) does not have all the information needed to make the scope problem free. The second minor complaint is the resolution of the viewfinder. While it is completely satisfactory for hunting hogs, etc. I have to use a spotting scope for sighting in. Seeing the small .224 bullet holes at distance is very difficult. (not an issue on my larger calibers) Additionally, resolution deteriorates as you zoom up in power. The one shot zero works very well, but if you cannot see the bullet hole, you either have mark the bullet hole with a marker in order to see it through the scope, or adjust the POI by just using moving the reticule the desired amount. I was told that changing the X or Y setting by one, moves the POI approximately ¼” (1/4 minute). (note – you must zoom to higher powers to make 1 “click” adjustments in the X axis) Thus, using a spotting scope to determine the POI, all I did was make the desired adjustment, zooming back to 3X before saving setting. A comment – most of the truly negative comments I have read were the results of not reading the manual, or not contacting customer service for support of the perceived problem. I highly recommend this scope.
