Best purchase

by Rich G, from RI, United States Written on May 23, 2025
I have always wanted a thermal handheld, but needed one with a built in lrf. Once I saw this I bought it and I could not be happier. Lets me range and is so clear with a ton of detail. Also it comes with removable rechargeable batteries which is nice so if the battery goes bad, I can buy another battery without sending the item in for service.

Awesome scanner

by Larry, from DE, United States Written on May 1, 2025
Using this in my back yard is a game changer. It picks up every little detail on the animals. Makes very cool videos that I load to the internet. The crispness and ability to range find is amazing, I know I’m rambling :)

Better than Expected

by Lars, from VA, United States Written on April 12, 2025
As a wildlife, mostly bird, photographer, I purchased the ATN BlazeHunter Pro to assist in locating birds camouflaged in trees, vines, and/or marsh grasses. I wanted a thermal monocular that was relatively small but with enough sensitivity and definition to detect small birds at a distance of approximately 50 yards and larger birds at 100+ yards. While binoculars certainly help, in some situations the birds blend in so well that it is still easy to overlook them, hence the thermal unit. While I received the BlazeHunter last week, it has already proven useful in spotting marsh birds. My other main bird target is owls which are mainly active at night, which for a photographer mostly translates to dusk and dawn, but I expect the thermal unit will be useful in locating owls perched in vine overgrowth, and/or pine trees. I chose the BlazeHunter Pro 635 model for the following specifications: NETD <20mK, 35mm objective lens diameter, 640X512 pixel sensor resolution, the 1440X1080 pixel OLED display, and the field replaceable battery. All this in a relatively small package. Oh, the three-year warranty and picture taking capability were also pluses. Note that while the laser rangefinder would likely be a good option for hunters, I do not have a need for it.
Pros:
  • Size, weight, quick start, sensitivity, detail
Cons:
  • lens cover slips off easily, but is tethered so not lost
Best Used for:
  • wildlife location and identification

Works better than i expect

by Bob J, from ID, United States Written on February 23, 2025
Have used my BlazeHunter 635 for hunting coyotes at night. The unit is simple enough to understand and use, in one afternoon I had it completely figured out and synchronized to my I-phone, no small feat for someone who is not real tech savvy like me. It is priceless when coyote hunting-not having to search for animals with my rifle makes it much easier and safer. This unit does everything that ATN claims plus. I would buy it again in a minute!

Absolutely Stunned

by Tom Lanford, from FL, United States Written on February 16, 2025
I am floored by this unit. I haven't had anything so clear and crisp. It has up'd my nightly coyote hunts. I even have it on a tripod so that i can scan the field from my phone with easy. And let me tell you the phone set up was easy as 1 2 3. I will be probably getting a second one soon to expand my field range with my buddies.

Picture and clarity is amazing!

by B-School, Verified Owner from NC, United States Written on January 27, 2025
This thermal monocular is amazing! Far surpasses my 320 thermal scope in image quality and definition. Laser range finder is a nice feature as well as it's hard to detect range when looking through a thermal. Only used a couple times so far, but each time I use it, I'm happy I purchased it.
Pros:
  • image quality
Cons:
  • None
