Good product - ATN Extended Power Battery Kit

I put this on my AR-10 to go with an ATN THOR HD to hunt pigs at night. Works great. Acts like any other backup battery you would buy for you phone, iPad etc. Plugs in with a standard charge chord, has four lights to tell you it’s charge state. Keeps the thermal scope working all night. There are two issues to consider: one is the chord going from the battery to the optic can get in the way of casings ejecting so you have to make sure it is wrapped around the sight to stay clear. The second thing is the battery case doesn’t fit very well on sliding butt stocks. Mine is on a Magpul butt stock and the case makes it very difficult to reach the slide release mechanism to operate sliding the buttstock in and out. It also makes charging the weapon difficult once it is installed and the zipper interfears with my cheek position slightly when trying to shoot. But once you’ve overcome these hurdles the pack holds in place well and the battery is a must. I do recommend this, but the mount is far from perfect and I wish I could mount it on the rail somehow.
