good illuminator, not to heavy for helmet mount
I received the ATN IR850-B1 just a couple of days after my order, so once again opticsplanet does what it says it will do. As to the illuminator, I attached it to my helmet with the included hardware. Easy to attach, strong enough to get bumped, easy to take off. The IR is pretty strong, in a large room it lights it up. When outside, you can easily see where you are walking or if needed in a tactical situation, easily see your perp and his hands. As with everything electronic, you must train and use often to get a hang where the controls are. I would buy again.
