This is a highly functional and usable night vision optic. If you need to see detail (as on a map or textures or wires) in total or near-total darkness OR if you need to be able to make out facial features at 25 yards (or 100 yards with the 3x eye-piece lens sold separately), and without the overwhelming green-ness of earlier generations of night vision - then this one is for you. If you only need to make out shapes and avoid walking into obstacles in the dark, you can spend thousands less. This is mission-specific gear. NVM14 Monocular

20 years of law enforcement, 10 as SWAT Sniper. We have used ATN NVM14’s as well as their clip on systems on our sniper teams for almost 10 years now. They have performed brilliantly with no issues in both hot and sub freezing temps. They’ve been rather abused, because that’s how cops just do, and they just keep working with no I’ll side effects. Picture is bright and clear and works well even without much ambient light! I highly recommend ATN night vision products. Aaron in customer service has been top notch and professional! Only reason the NVM14 doesn’t get 5 stars is because it’s discontinued. Our team will be upgrading soon to ATN’s PVS14’s!

A great scope

An amazing device. You will not believe how many stars you can see, and how even very low light conditions will provide sufficient illumination for seeing in otherwise pitch dark areas.
