PS28-2-WPT
This unit uses the WPT type tube that yields a black and white image verses several shades of green.
I compared this to my Gen 3 PVS-14 and found the BW image to be very natural and easy to identify objects at distance. Though not as high a level of resolution as the PVS still very good and combined with magnification an excellent optic.
This unit compared favorably against ATN's Gen 4 version of the same unit costing nearly double.
This WPT version would be great in urban environments where objects are sharply delineated.
Hard to beat for a starter NV clip-on
After reviewing all kinds of NV and thermal options, I ended up settling on this. I wanted to be able to use my day scope, so that meant a clip-on. Of the available ones, this was the best combination of price and quality. It seems to be built like a tank, and its case is quite impressive. The illuminator that comes with it is good to about 30-40 yards. So if you want farther than that, you will need to buy a better illuminator. The manual reads like it's made for the military, but is straightforward. I took it on a hog hunt, where it performed admirably. I learned I needed a better illuminator while on that hunt. Next year I'll take the TNVC Torch Pro Mk II and see how it does.

Atn ps28-2
I would give this a 5 star because its a great value for the money. Its not perfect and its not some crazy military unit but it functions great and with something like a trijicon acog behind it it has good clarity and field of view. Good product for the money

PS-28... Must have for budget hunters!
Another great product from ATN! Not too grainy very simple to use. I've put about 10 hrs on my first set of batteries still going strong! I was a little disappointed in the QD mount its kind of cheesy, but it works..
PS-28 works great with the included IR spotlight. PS-28 come into great focus out to 300-400yds depending on ambient light. I see a new mount in the near future but other than that very pleased.
I DO recommend the PS-28.
