Unfortunately, I purchased the Thor 4 and it arrived with 12 shots on the shot counter when I first got it up and running, so it appears to be used. When it power it on, it will do 1 of 3 things.
1.) Show a bright green screen and never actually start up, requiring to be shut off.
2.) Show a grey/black screen with a white line moving from left to right, the line stops 3/4 the way across the screen and freezes there, requiring to be shut off.
3.) It will actually turn on about 1 in 10 times, but then freezes after a few minutes.
It is not usable. Anytime that you need a scope, it needs to work. If I have to spend 10-15 minutes turning it on and off and just hoping that it will eventually work, I've missed any potential usage of the scope and any opportunities. Oh, and if I leave it on before I need the scope, it'll freeze and not work after a few minutes.
I went through their steps to update the firmware on the scope, which did not work. I went through all of their steps on how to do a factory reset of the scope, which did not work. It's a pretty terrible scope and an even worse company.
I've emailed ATN's customer support and their warranty department and got NO responses from either one, over several months. I keep following up, but they do not respond. I've included a full write up with pictures of the screen and they do not even respond...not even once. So I have a very expensive paperweight.
