Is #7 my lucky number?
Well yes and no. I received #7 just a few days ago and so far everything EXCEPT for the streaming feature, that I have used, seems to work well. No freeze ups, ghosting out, blank screens etc., etc.. After over a year of the back and forth, I was assured that this one would work as intended and it does if it is not intended to stream. I do have 3 other units that have continued to work great for years, they were all refurbished except the first one.

Excellent All-Around Thermal Scope
Great thermal scope in the ATN Thor 5 Thermal offering. I've tried the 2-20x and 3-24x versions of these Thor 5 640x480 scopes and they were good, but the 4-32x version of the ATN Thor 5 640x480 finally hit the sweet spot IMHO as far as magnification and day/night vision and capabilities. The Grey or OPMOD version of this scope is especially good b/c it's significantly cheaper than the regular/black version of the ATN Scope, and yet in my experience it takes the regular ATN Firmware Upgrades just fine. The only downside of the scope that I saw was that the 30mm Dual Scope Ring which was packaged with this Grey/OPMOD version of the scope as a "bonus" just plain didn't work in my experience in securing the Scope to my Rifle. No matter how I tightened it down after a few rounds the scope/rings loosened, and risked coming off the rifle with recoil. Not good, however after changing out the included dual scope ring mount with two Atibal Individual 30 MM Scope Rings (High) it secured the scope just fine and in fact gave better clearance and sight access to the scope. Overall, a very good thermal scope.

Great clarity, smaller than preceding generation. Few more bells and whistles, but easy to figure out.

Haven’t used it hunting yet, but more intuitive menu than Thor 4, 684 clarity is great. Smaller size with the resultant smaller battery, shorter life is my only remaining question.
