I’ve been an ATN customer for several years now and absolutely love their product and customer support. I’ve had a few of their older thermal scopes while they are not perfect. They are high-quality and dependable product. If you do wind up having trouble with their product, their customer support team is absolutely fantastic. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and fast to get your product back to you. I have never had an issue with my Thor 5 and last night, it was used on one of the best hunts I’ve ever been on. The image quality is fantastic. The positive identification range on the 256 modes is about 300 yards detection range from my experience is about 800. I am currently using a 320 4-16 and can identify out to over 1000 yards and sea heat much further than that if you were in the market for thermal scope, I strongly suggest you give ATN a try.
Pros:
- Fantastic customer support it stands behind their product
- Amazing battery life can often run for an entire night with no issues
Cons:
- I have had two different scopes that have had problems with the display, but ATN was fast
- I have had problems with the display, but the ATN customer support took care of the problems quickly and got me back in the field, within a week of Them receiving my optic
Best Used for:
- Predator and pest control

I decided to try thermal since I already had an ATN In-fared.I had a new learning curve to conquer but who doesn't like a challenge. It was easier than I thought it would be. I did have some issues with the scope but ATN has a great team and Rod Gerard was the expert I spoke with. After a brief conversation Rod had me send in the scope for repairs at their expense. Great company with expert service.

This is my first thermal scope, the ATN ThOR 5, and I'm blown away. I was a little intimidated at first, but it turned out to be way easier to use than I thought. Setting it up was pretty straight forward, and the interface is actually quite intuitive. The image quality from the ultra-sensitive thermal sensor is amazing! I could clearly see deer way out in the field, even in the dark. It was almost surreal how clear the image was, way better than I expected. The ballistic calculator was a little tricky to get the hang of at first, but after messing with it for a bit, I got it dialed in. Being able to factor in wind and range is a game changer. And the recoil activated video is awesome! No more fumbling with buttons trying to record that perfect shot. It just does it automatically. I can't believe how much this scope has improved my hunting game already. It's a little pricey, but honestly, for the features and the image quality, it's totally worth it. This thing has seriously exceeded all my expectations, especially for a beginner like me. I'm so glad I went with the THOR 5!

Against the recommendation of all the thermal scope snobs, I decided to give this fairly economical thermal a try. So far I’m pleased. If I really enjoy hunting at night, maybe next scope I’ll drop a few grand on. I’ll say that the pros are it’s clear image will be plenty adequate on hogs and coyotes out at least a couple hundred yards and the battery seems to hold charge good. Cons are the firmware updating was annoying and the quick detach scope rings suck. I have only been playing around with it watching animals in yard and in fields around house. I have not yet mounted it on my rifle and sighted it in. Right now, for the price, I’ll give it 4 stars
